Teide by Quad: 90 km to Vilaflor and Boca Tauce, Age 25+

Ninety kilometres (55 miles) on a quad, on dirt roads and some tarmac, climbing to 2,400 metres inside Teide National Park. The route goes through Arona and stops at Vilaflor, one of the highest villages in Spain, then carries on up towards Teide. The Boca Tauce viewpoint is the stop that pays for the ride: the volcano in front of you, and the lava that set around it below. Check the requirements before booking, because they are stricter than most. The driver needs a valid category B licence, has to be at least 25 years old, and must have held the licence for at least two years. Pick-up covers Playa Paraíso, Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, Costa del Silencio and Golf del Sur. If you are making your own way there, the meeting point is Calle Hermano Pedro in San Miguel de Abona. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start.
