Buggy to the Teide Park via Vilaflor, Turning at 2200 Metres
Three and a half hours, most of it climbing. The base is in the Las Chafiras industrial estate, calle Plasencia, unit C15, and the buggies leave from there. The road out runs through the towns of southern Tenerife, San Miguel de Abona and then Vilaflor, with the air getting cooler as the road gains height. The turning point is inside Teide National Park at 2,200 metres above sea level, and there is a stop there to get out, take photographs and look at the mountain properly. The way back drops down the same slope with the whole southern coast of the island ahead of you. Near the end the route leaves the tarmac for dirt roads through Canarian farmland before returning to base.
