Pacaya Shared Hike from Guatemala City, Entrance Fee Apart
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Guatemala CityThe timings are the useful part here. An hour and a half from your hotel in Guatemala City to San Vicente Pacaya, an hour and a half up the volcano, an hour to come back down, and about two hours to get home. Call it most of a day. Pacaya is one of the most active volcanoes in Guatemala, and the climb is gradual rather than steep, which is why it works for people who do not usually hike. Near the top the rock is still warm to the hand. This is the shared version, so the bus fills up with other travellers, which is either the drawback or the point, depending on how you travel. One thing to budget for separately: the basic option does not include the volcano entrance fee.
What's included
- Entrance Fee to the Pacaya Volcano (Except for Basic Option)
- Private Transportation For The Group
- Certified local guide by The Guatemalan Tourism Board Comission
