Pacaya at Sunset on Horseback: a Lava Chef, Dinner with Wine and S'mores
Three guides work this one: a private cowboy with the horse, an English-speaking guide, and a third whose job is the volcano itself. The ride goes up at the end of the day. At the base of the active cone, with three other volcanoes standing across the view, a private lava chef is already set up. Chips and salsa come first, on a picnic laid out in strong colours, then the sunset dinner, served with wine. Afterwards there is a tasting of gourmet Guatemalan chocolate, and the s'mores are toasted on the lava, which is the only heat source involved. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
