Horseback Ride to the La Fortuna Waterfall Through Rainforest
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaMost ways to the waterfall involve a vehicle and then a staircase. Here the approach is on horseback, through tropical rainforest, which changes what the trip is: the ride becomes the activity, and the falls are where it ends. The trail runs through forest carrying a wide range of plants and animals, at a pace slow enough to notice them, and a horse covers ground that a vehicle cannot reach. There is free, secure parking at the meeting point.
