Canyoning Rock: 4 Walls, 3 Pools and 2 Zip Lines Across the Arenal Canyon
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaCanyoning Rock works the canyon of the Arenal River, and the day is built out of four different things rather than one thing repeated. Four walls to descend on rope, some of them under falling water. Three natural pools with the option to jump in, which stays optional. Two zip lines strung across the canyon. And stretches of walking in the river itself, through water clear enough to see the bottom. No previous experience is needed. The certified guides run a full briefing on the equipment before anything starts and stay with the group throughout, and the gear is professional. It ends with an easy walk along the bank of the Arenal River, then through the woods to La Roca Bistró for natural juices and a typical lunch.

Here you will take out your adventurous spirit walking…
The route works through clear, cold water: four walls to descend inside the Arenal River Canyon, three natural pools to jump into, and two zip lines crossing the canyon, with the wildlife around you the whole time. That combination is what the operator means by being more than a canyoning trip. No experience is required. The guides go through every piece of equipment step by step before the start, the gear comes from brands recognised in this kind of activity, and the staff are trained for it. The finish is a gentle walk along the bank of the Arenal River, where the water runs calm and clear, then into the woods to the La Roca restaurant for natural drinks and a typical lunch.
