Etna with Angela, Maria Grazia and Daniele: the Route Chosen on the Day
Three guides work this excursion: Angela, Maria Grazia and Daniele. Which route you walk is not fixed when you book. It gets decided together, and it can be decided on the morning itself, at the meeting point, once they know what you are after. What the day holds in any version of it: crossing lava flows, walking on craters, and going into a lava flow cave. Etna has enough routes to make that flexibility mean something. A mountain this size, with several sides and centuries of eruptions on each of them, does not have one walk that suits everybody. The guides call it Mamma Etna, which is how the mountain gets spoken about locally. The meeting is at 9:30 at Piazzale della Regione Siciliana in Zafferana Etnea.
What's included

Monti Sartorius
An excursion across the kind of ground only a volcano this size produces. The route crosses lava flows, goes on foot over some of the craters, and includes a lava flow cave, visited in complete safety. Etna has a lot of routes, and which one gets walked is agreed together, even in person when you meet for the excursion, depending on what suits you. The guides stay at your disposal for the whole of it.
