Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
QuitoCotopaxi is an active volcano of 5,897 m in the Andes, and the national park around it holds a range of plants and animals that exists nowhere lower down. The first stop is the Limpiopungo lagoon, on the flank of the volcano, where the cone and the water sit in the same frame, and the Mariscal Sucre interpretation centre, which explains what the park is protecting. The walk is the second half: up to the José Rivas refuge at 4,864 m. Then the drive back to Quito. Park entrances are included. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
