Batur Sunrise Trek, Breakfast at the Summit, Rim Walk on Request

Four hours of walking, up and down, with a private guide who stays with your group the whole way. This is the walking version of Batur rather than the jeep one. Pick-up is between 01:30 and 03:00, in a private air-conditioned car, and there is a coffee break at 03:15 before anybody starts climbing. The climb begins at 03:30 and the summit comes at 05:30 or 06:00, in time for the sun. Breakfast is served up there at 06:30: banana sandwiches, cakes, eggs, fruit and hot drinks, eaten with the light coming across the crater. At 07:00 there is a decision to make. Straight down the mountain, or around the crater rim first. It is your call and the guide will do either. Back at the finish point by 08:30, then the transfer to your hotel. The whole thing is over by mid-morning.
