Private Reykjavik Helicopter Flight: Reykjanes Peninsula and Volcanic Landscapes

An hour in the air over the Reykjanes peninsula, which from above looks less like a landscape than a diagram of how one gets made. The flight goes over the geothermal field at Seltún, where the ground is coloured by what comes out of it, and over the two lakes, Grænavatn and Kleifarvatn. Black sand beaches, hot springs and lava fields fill in the rest, and the Blue Lagoon is on the route. The helicopter is private, and it returns to the point it left from. One thing to get right. Departure is from the east side of Reykjavík Domestic Airport, building 313, behind the Icelandair Hotel Natura and between Isavia and Eagle Air. It is not the west side, where Air Iceland flies from. Satnavs vary, so try Building 313, Hangar 1, or Nauthólsvegur.
