The Golden Circle Private, with Faxi and the Langjökull Highlands

Þingvellir first, where the Icelandic parliament was founded more than a thousand years ago and where the North American and Eurasian plates are pulling apart slowly enough to walk between them. The Geysir field at Haukadalur has the hot springs, the steam vents and the blue algae, and Strokkur, which goes off almost every five minutes. The jeep then goes up into the highlands towards Langjökull, whose name means long glacier and which covers 953 square kilometres, the second largest ice cap in Iceland.
