Sky Tram and Sky Trek at Arenal: Cable Car Up, Zip Lines Down
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaTwo halves, running in opposite directions. The aerial tram carries you up through the rainforest to the highest point of the Arenal reserve, slowly, with the volcano and the lake opening out as you climb. Then the cables take you back down at speed. The tram is the part where you can look properly. Zip lining is the part where you will not want to: the runs are long, the heights are real, and by the time the view has registered you are at the next platform. Sky Trek makes the descent, a series of cables strung across the highest ground in the reserve. Pick-up can be arranged at extra cost, but only from hotels in La Fortuna. Anyone staying elsewhere makes their own way to the park.
