Private Taxi Around Jeju: Your Own Itinerary Inside a 130 km Day
A private car and driver for the day, with the route decided by you. Tell the operator what you want after booking, and change it as often as you like up to the departure time. Once the day starts, the itinerary is fixed: that is the one firm rule. The other number to know is 130 kilometres. That is what the day covers as standard. Beyond it, the driver charges 15,000 to 20,000 won for every 10 km, paid directly to them. Jeju is not a large island, but a route that takes in both ends of it will pass that line. What people usually ask for: Seongsan Ilchulbong, the tuff cone thrown up on a shallow seabed five thousand years ago and 182 metres high; the Saryeoni forest path; Seongeup Folk Village, or the Jeju folk village museum instead; Woljeongri Beach and the cafes along it; Manjanggul, the largest known lava tube in the world; and Seopjikoji, which becomes Sangumburi from October to December. Manjanggul closes on the first Wednesday of each month, and on those days the Haenyeo Museum takes its place. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.

Saryeoni Forest Path Red Ascension Entrance
A forest trail counted among Jeju's 31 hidden attractions and carefully protected. Popular with anyone who came here to walk.
Seongeup Folk Village
A traditional village kept as it was, with stones piled on the roofs against the wind. The houses and defences date from the Joseon dynasty, built against Japanese invasion, and are protected as folk relics. This stop is optional: the Jeju folk village museum can be taken instead.

Seongsan Ilchulbong
Seongsan Ilchulbong, Sunrise Peak, is a tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions on a shallow seabed about five thousand years ago. It is 182 metres high, holds a bowl-shaped crater, and the sea cliff exposes its inner structure. People compare it to a castle. The women divers' show is included.
Costo extra
Seopjikoji
Seopjikoji is at the end of the eastern shore, best in April when the canola is out. Seopji is the old name of the place; koji is Jeju dialect for a sudden rise in the ground. From October to December it is replaced by Sangumburi.
Woljeongri Beach
Woljeongri Beach has white sand and emerald water, with a run of cafes along the road behind it.
Eco Land Theme Park
Eco Land covers roughly 991,735 m² of Gotjawal virgin forest, crossed on the Lincoln locomotive, handmade in England on the model of an 1800s Baldwin steam engine. The Gotjawal forest at Gyorae holds a great deal of groundwater and keeps its heat and moisture, which is why plants from both northern and southern limits grow here together, over volcanic rock and under a closed canopy.
This is the world's largest known lava tube created by…
The largest known lava tube in the world, made by volcanic activity, and big enough inside to feel like a place rather than a passage. The stone turtle shaped like Jeju island is the piece everyone photographs. Manjanggul closes on the first Wednesday of every month, and the Jeju Haenyeo Museum replaces it on those days.
Haenyeo Museum
Rainy days only. The Jeju Haenyeo Museum exists to record and teach the culture of the women divers and what they have meant socially, economically and historically. The exhibits cover the local environment, the fishing villages, folk culture and the fisheries industry, with the haenyeo at the centre.
Sangumburi Crater
October to December only, in place of Seopjikoji, which is also when it is at its best.
