Panarea and Stromboli by Boat, Noon to Ten, Spaghetti Aboard
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Aeolian IslandsThe Panarea and Stromboli run goes from around midday to about ten at night, which is what it takes to be off the Sciara del Fuoco after dark. Panarea first: Cala Junco, the Praia di Zimmari, Drautto, and about an hour ashore to walk round the village. Then the islets off the island, which is where the swimming and the snorkelling happen. Stromboli after that, past Ginostra, and then the Sciara del Fuoco, with whatever the crater is doing above it. Water, soft drinks, wine, coffee, spaghetti and an aperitif are included, which makes the long hours easier than they sound. The same operator runs two shorter days: Filicudi, and Lipari with Salina, both 10:00 to 18:00. The whole boat can also be hired privately. Departures are from Marina Corta on Lipari. Take the pier on the right; the boat is the Atlantis.
