Oropéndola Bridges and the Río Negro Hot Springs, Flat Trails

Both stops on this tour sit ten minutes from a car park, on flat trails, which is the whole idea: two of the best things on this volcano without any climbing, at any age. The Oropéndola waterfall comes first. The path is level as far as the hanging bridges, which carry you from the top of the fall down towards the river. Swimming is allowed. Towels are not included here, so bring your own. The Río Negro hot springs come next, again ten flat minutes from the parking, and the pools sit at different temperatures, so there is one to suit most people. A mud bath is optional. Towels are included at this stop, which is worth knowing precisely because they are not at the first one. Neither site is wheelchair accessible. The tour is private, and the meeting point is the adventure desk in front of the main restaurant at Hacienda Guachipelín.
