Morning Arenal Volcano Hike with Local Lunch and Hot Springs River
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaThe morning version, with lunch in the middle of it and the hot springs at the end. The walk goes round Arenal on trails through rainforest, with the volcano in view from the open stretches. The guide handles three subjects: what the mountain has done, how the rock underneath it works, and what lives in the forest, which on a good morning means monkeys, birds in full colour and plants you are unlikely to have seen before. Lunch is local and included in the price. That matters more than it sounds, because it is what turns a morning walk into a day that does not send you back into town to find food. The hot springs come last: a river of warm mineral water, sitting in the forest where it runs.
