Arenal Full Day with Red Lava: the 70 m Waterfall, El Silencio Viewpoint and Termalitas
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaA full day that keeps adding stops. Rivers, high hanging bridges, staircases cut into the jungle, mountain trails, the La Fortuna waterfall, a butterfly garden, the Maleku village, a forest of giant trees, the green lake, fields of lava rock, the highest viewpoint anywhere around Arenal, and a hot springs resort at the end of it. The part worth reading before comparing it with anything else is what the price covers: every entrance fee, an expert guide, a hot typical lunch, a fruit break, a coffee break and a cacique cocktail. Nothing gets added at the gate. The walking changes constantly. Steps, trails and bridges, with wildlife spotting throughout, and the day finishes sitting in natural mineral water.

F8GG+RF Zeta trece
The Red Lava office, directly across from the Relax Termalitas hot springs.
La Fortuna Waterfall
The walls around the waterfall run 70 metres high and are covered in vegetation, with huge volcanic rocks piled at the foot of the drop and a large pool taking the water. There is time to stand and look at it, and anyone who wants to can go in for a swim.
Butterfly Conservatory - Arenal
A tropical enclosure holding hundreds of native butterflies, arranged across four separate flight atriums. Poison dart frogs are on show at close range, and the rainforest trails outside look over Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano.
Mirador El Silencio
Steep steps lead up onto a mass of lava rock, and the trail from there is cut through the stone itself, climbing the flank of Arenal. It ends at the highest viewpoint that exists anywhere around the volcano, and the panorama from it is the reason for the climb.
Relax Termalitas
A hot springs resort fed by natural mineral water, with a complimentary cocktail included.
