Kintamani Geopark by 4WD: Black Lava Desert, Forest Tracks and a Brunch with the View

No alarm at three in the morning and no sunrise in this one. The jeep works the Kintamani Geopark in daylight. Pick-up is at the hotel, then the drive up to the Geopark and out onto the frozen black lava, sand and rock across a wide expanse of it. The lava froze there after eruptions hundreds of years ago, and the rocks it left are what people photograph themselves between. The 4WD also goes into the forest off-road, with the island opening out below the active volcano. After that, the healing water of the Batur natural hot spring, with the lake in view from the pool. Brunch or lunch is taken with the Mount Batur Geopark in front of the table at Kintamani. Drop-off is at the pick-up point or anywhere else in south Bali.
