Kintamani Downhill Cycling from Bayung Gede: School, Compound, Temple and Lunch
The ride starts at Bayung Gede, a village on the southern side of Kintamani, where the guide runs the briefing before anyone gets on a bike. From there the route drops through rice fields and villages, which is why beginners manage it as well as regular cyclists. Three stops break the descent, and none of them is a viewpoint. The first is a local school, where the visit is about how education works in a Balinese village. The second is a family compound, entered as a guest, with the residents there to talk to. The third is the village temple and what actually happens inside it. Lunch is at the Amertha Restaurant in Tampaksiring, where the ride ends. The guides speak English and handle the cultural side of the stops. The meeting point is arranged and shared through the reservation, so ask for it when booking. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
