Jeju from Jungmun and Seogwipo: a 10.30 Start and No Shopping Stops
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Jeju IslandMost Jeju day tours leave from Jeju City at eight in the morning. This one collects from hotels in Jungmun and Seogwipo, starts around 10:30 and finishes around 17:00, which is a different kind of day. The route takes in Seongsan Ilchulbong, the UNESCO crater on the east coast, Gwangchigi Beach across from it, and a lava cave. The haenyeo show is on the itinerary: the sea women diving without any equipment, as they have for generations. If the sea or the weather stops it, the group goes elsewhere on the coast instead. What the operator promises not to do is as clear as what it does: no shopping stops and no optional tours sold along the way. There is free time at the main stops, an English-speaking guide throughout, and drop-off at any of the pick-up points. Light rain does not cancel the day. Only extreme weather does. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
