Furnas by Jeep on the Back Roads, with the Cozido and Drinks

A jeep, and a lot of secondary roads, which is how the day reaches things the other tours drive past. The route works through the hot springs and caldeiras of the Furnas crater. The stops are the tea plantation, Pico do Ferro, the Furnas lake and the caldeiras themselves, then Nossa Senhora da Paz and Vila Franca on the way back to Ponta Delgada. Lunch is the cozido, the local dish cooked in the hot springs for six hours. Drinks come with it: wine, beer and soft drinks. After lunch there is a choice. Dona Beija, where you can swim in the hot thermal pools, or the Terra Nostra garden, whose entrance is not in the price.
