Class III and IV on the Pacuare: Eighteen Miles from Tres Equis

San JoseEighteen miles of the Pacuare, on class III and class IV rapids, starting near the town of Tres Equis, an hour east of Turrialba. Between the rapids the river runs past waterfalls and through tropical forest, with the flora and fauna that go with it, and the only way in is the water. The guides are specialised and experienced, the equipment is current, and food is part of the day. Departure is from the Explornatura base camp, and the trip runs daily. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
