Batur Sunrise by Jeep with No Walking at All, and a 35-37°C Soak
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
SeminyakThe selling point here is stated plainly by the operator: no walking, at any point. That makes it workable for children, for older travellers and for anyone with a disability, which is not true of the trekking version of the same sunrise. The classic 4x4 does 30 minutes of off-road to the jeep viewpoint at 1,400 m. A light breakfast is served before the sun comes up, and the roof of the jeep is where people take their photographs from. At about 6:30, once the light is up, the jeep goes out onto the black lava field left by the 1963 eruption, with the guide on the biggest eruptions the mountain has had. Back at the car park around 8:00. On the combo booking, the day ends in the Batur Natural Hot Spring: water at 35 to 37 degrees, coming straight out of the volcano, with Lake Batur and the caldera around the pools. One to two hours there. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
