An Hour by Tuk-Tuk to the Caldera del Rey, Costa Adeje
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
TenerifeOne hour, in a tuk-tuk, up to the highest part of Costa Adeje where the Caldera del Rey sits. It is a Natural Monument, and thousands of years ago it was a large volcano. The guide explains what that left behind: ground fertile enough to make this one of the most productive parts of the islands, which is why the banana plantations run as far as they do. The natural caves in the caldera were lived in by the island's first inhabitants, and their story is told step by step. The route also takes in the Puerto Colón marina, the Magma Arte & Congresos building, the viewpoint above Aqualand and the front of Siam Park. One practical note on the vehicle. The six seats face each other and sit side by side, so the private option is the one to take for anyone with reduced mobility, or for larger passengers who would simply be more comfortable with the room. The meeting point is in front of the Bar Wakanda Origen.
