Sao MiguelTwo lines cover the island: one to Sete Cidades, one to Gorreana. The ticket lets you get off at any stop, spend as long as you want there, and pick up the next bus when you are ready. What the lines reach is the viewpoints and the older attractions along the way, and it is the timetable rather than a guide that sets the pace. The service runs from 9am to 7pm, which is enough to take in both lines in a day if you keep moving, or one of them slowly. Children under 5 travel free. Between 6 and 10 the fare is reduced.
