Timanfaya, the Longest Lava Tube and the Blind Albino Crab
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
LanzaroteA full day by bus across the volcanic sites of Lanzarote, with a guide. Timanfaya first, where the mountains of fire erupted in the 18th century and the ground has not looked ordinary since. The geothermal demonstrations are at the Islote de Hilario. The Cueva de los Verdes is one of the longest volcanic tubes in the world, and you walk through it. Jameos del Agua is a set of old lava caves that César Manrique shaped into something you can walk round. The water there holds a blind albino crab, and it is what most people end up staring at. Lunch is a stop in Haría, optional and not in the price.
