The Lava Show at Vík: 1,100 °C Poured Over Ice
Ratings collected by Tiqets
Molten lava is poured into a room with an audience in it, at 1,100 °C, and run over ice. That is the whole idea, and it works because it is real lava rather than a projection. You feel the heat on your face from where you are sitting, and you hear it hiss when it reaches the ice. Around the pouring there is an explanation of what is happening and why Iceland is built the way it is, so the show teaches as well as burns things. This is the Vík show. There is a second one in Reykjavík. Something cold to drink helps.
