Río Balsa Rafting and an ATV Ride to La Guaria, Below Arenal

Playa HermosaTwo halves, and they do not resemble each other. The first is the ATV: two and a half hours on trails across a private farm directly below Arenal, then a looser run out towards La Guaria, with a stop at the Arenal river where everyone takes the photographs. The second is the Río Balsa, in the afternoon. Class II and III, the grade that makes plenty of noise without demanding a great deal from the crew, which is why the day is sold as a family one. The volcano is above both halves of it. Wet and muddy in that order, and done by evening.
