Etna Summit 3,000 m with the Cable Car Ticket Included
The cable car ticket is in the price. That is the difference worth checking against the other summit tours on this side of the mountain, where the 50 € return fare is usually paid separately at the bottom. The group meets at 8:30 at the operator's desk, down the street from the Bar Terrazza dell'Etna on the south side. After a briefing the volcanological and alpine guide leads the way to the cable car, which climbs to 2,500 metres. From there it is about two hours of trekking to 3,000 metres, across stretches of volcanic sand and lava flows both old and recent, up to the base of the summit craters. The descent stops for lunch, which is not included, and takes in the 2001 crater at 2,700 metres, still fuming. The walk ends back where it started.
What's included

Mount Etna
Meeting at 8:30 am at the operator's desk, down the street from the Bar and Restaurant Terrazza dell'Etna. After a briefing the volcanological and alpine guide takes the group to the cable car. The return ticket, 50 €, is included, and the lift climbs to 2,500 m above sea level. The trekking starts there and continues to 3,000 m, over stretches of volcanic sand and lava flows old and recent. At the base of the summit craters the scenery has no equivalent anywhere else, and the size of the volcano becomes obvious from that position. The descent to 2,500 m includes a lunch break, not covered by the price, and a visit to the 2001 crater at 2,700 m, which is still fuming. The excursion ends back at the starting point.
