Etna Private Tour with Wine, Honey and the 1992 Lava Flow
A private day on Etna, with pick-up at your accommodation, a Mercedes V-Class minivan and an English-speaking driver. The road climbs to Rifugio Sapienza at 2,000 metres, where a light walk goes round the Silvestri craters. The cable car up to 2,900 m is optional and costs an extra €80 per person. Skipping it takes nothing away from the day. At Oro d'Etna there is local honey to taste, and the 1992 lava flow to look at while you do. The day carries on at a local winery, with a wine tasting and a light lunch in sight of the volcano. The driver is Sicilian and talks about the place as the day goes on. Being private, the timing and the pace belong to whoever booked it.

Zafferana Etnea
A stop in the main square of Zafferana Etnea, a town on the slopes of Etna, to see the church and hear the history that goes with it.
Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna
A short walk round the Silvestri craters, at about 2,000 metres above sea level, with the panorama open in every direction. Liqueur tasting and free time here.
Oro d'Etna
Tasting of typical local products: honey, oil, olives and more. Whatever you like can be bought or shipped from there directly.
Tenute Orestiadi - La Gelsomina
A wine tasting at a winery: Etna wines matched with typical products, cured meats and cheeses, plus a walk round the vineyard. (The cellar can change depending on availability.)
