Canyon Rappels First, Class II-III Rafting After, with Lunch

The order matters. The ropes come first, down the canyon walls, with the guides and instructors watching every descent. Then the river, Class II and III, where the work is paddling rather than hanging. That sequence puts the technical half first, and what follows asks for effort rather than nerve. It is a full day, and the two halves use different muscles. Pick-up and drop-off, lunch and refreshments are all in the price. What is not is the photography. A professional shoots the day and the pictures are sold separately, which at least means nobody has to ruin a rappel by carrying a phone down it.
