Batur Jeep Sunrise: the Winding Volcanic Track Is Half the Reason
On the trekking version of this morning, the mountain is something to be got up. Here the drive is part of what you paid for. The 4x4 starts early and takes the rough ground: winding paths and volcanic trails, with the country changing as the altitude goes up and the jeep working for it. At the top, the sky goes from black to a full spread of colour over the volcano, with the lake below. Breakfast is a proper stop at the summit rather than something eaten in the car, taken with the view in front of it. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
