Original Arenal ATV : Les sentiers boueux de La Naciente, le village de La Guaria et la rivière Arenal
Deux heures de balade, avec les horaires publiés étape par étape. Cela commence sur la ferme privée La Naciente, à quelques minutes du centre-ville de La Fortuna : des sentiers boueux, des flaques naturelles, de petits rivières et des ruisseaux à traverser, et un terrain suffisamment accidenté pour te faire travailler. Il y a un briefing de sécurité et une courte séance d'essai avant de partir, pour que personne n'apprenne à utiliser le véhicule sur le sentier. L'itinéraire rejoint ensuite La Guaria, un village à la campagne avec une église et une "pulpería" traditionnelle, où tu peux voir comment les gens vivent ici. Des sentiers ouverts mènent ensuite vers la rivière Arenal, si les conditions météorologiques le permettent, où le groupe s'arrête pour des photos, une collation de fruits frais et une baignade pour ceux qui le souhaitent. La dernière partie te ramène à La Naciente, en traversant la canopée de la forêt tropicale de La Fortuna, sur des sentiers boueux et un terrain accidenté. La prise en charge et le dépôt te prennent environ 30 minutes dans chaque sens, ou tu peux venir directement au bureau, 10 minutes avant le départ.

The base is about 4 kilometres west of downtown La Fortuna, on secondary route 142 towards the Arenal Volcano, Alajuela Province, La Fortuna, 21007. Arriving directly means being there 10 minutes before the start: 7:50 for the 8:00 tour, 11:20 for the 11:30, 2:50 for the 3:00. The wait is five minutes, after which the booking counts as a no-show.
La Fortuna
Pick-up takes about 30 minutes, collecting people from downtown La Fortuna and the hotels nearby. Anyone who prefers can come directly to the Original Arenal ATV office instead.

- Regular rain in La Fortuna is not a reason to cancel the tour, as it is part of the tropical rainforest experience.
- In case of thunderstorms, we will wait up to 30 minutes after the scheduled tour time, since they usually last between 15 and 30 minutes. If conditions do not improve after this period, the activity will be modified or canceled.
- We will send you a message with your pick-up location and time, which will depend on your hotel’s location. Please be ready at the scheduled pick-up time. We will wait a maximum of 5 minutes. If you are not present within this 5-minute period, the reservation will be marked as a no-show and the full amount will apply.
- For direct arrivals at the farm, the scheduled arrival time is 10 minutes before the tour start time: 7:50 AM for the 8:00 AM tour, 11:20 AM for the 11:30 AM tour, and 2:50 PM for the 3:00 PM tour. We will wait up to 5 minutes after the scheduled arrival time. After that, the reservation will be marked as a no-show.
- To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we include a short practice ride before the tour. If a participant is not able to drive safely, they can still enjoy the experience as a passenger within their group. Please note that the reservation secures the ATV space, so refunds do not apply if it is not used as a driver.
- Depending on the rain, crossing the Arenal River may not be possible. In such cases, we will not cross the river for safety reasons.
