Faial en une journée : Capelinhos, la Caldeira et le phare en ruines
Tu pourras profiter de sept à huit heures autour de Faial, en privé, pour découvrir les principaux points d'intérêt de toute l'île et l'histoire qui s'y rattache. La première partie du circuit suit la côte sud, de Horta jusqu'au volcan Capelinhos. Le déjeuner est un pique-nique complet dans l'un des parcs récréatifs de l'île. L'après-midi est consacré à la Caldeira, au phare de Ribeirinha, qui a été détruit par un tremblement de terre, et à l'une des plus belles plages de sable des Açores. La journée commence devant le bâtiment d'information touristique Casa da Baia à Horta.

Faial Island
The first half follows the main road along the south coast of Faial out to the Capelinhos volcano. The second half climbs to the Caldeira, goes on to the eastern tip of the island, and comes back to Horta. Between the stops the drives run 15 to 20 minutes.

Varadouro
Varadouro is a small coastal resort. The wealthy families of Horta used to spend their summers here. It is a residential area now, with natural swimming pools that stay popular.
Capelinhos
The Capelinhos volcano, at the western tip of Faial, is the clearest evidence of active volcanism in the Azores. It erupted between September 1957 and October 1958. Before that, the small port below it was one of the main places for launching whaling boats.
Praia Da Faja
The Fajã da Praia do Norte is a headland the lava of the Cabeço do Fogo eruption built in 1672. It is quiet now, with adegas, old farm buildings, summer houses and small gardens.
